Description

As part of the Water Team and in working to maintain the "life support system" of pumps, filters, and salt water, you will be serving a critical role in helping our sea turtle patients get well! Openings available several days of the week.

Responsibilities:

 
  • Make salt water and utilize the pump system to distribute the water mixture to where it is needed in the facility. 
  • Check and maintain salinity and temperature of the salt water.
  • Maintain the filtering system as needed, and setup, operate, and remove temporary pumping systems.  
  • Must develop a conceptual understanding of plumbing lines and able to operate plumbing valves.  
  • Plumbing system requires depressurization for cleaning and maintenance activities.  
  • Must be able to de-energize electrical equipment when needed. 
  • Able to remove and replace aquarium filters and filter lids.  
  • Able to use the garden hose or pressure washer to remove waste and debris.
