We are doing spring break programs on the beach this year!
Sea Turtle Sculptures: Learn about the sea turtle species and build life-sized sea turtle sand "castles"
We will bring photos of each sea turtle species that can be found in NC, along with measuring tape, and sea turtle facts such as their height, width, weight, descriptions etc.
We will give each group of children one turtle species and ask them to build a replica sea turtle by size and description ie. Leatherback should have the 5 ridges going up their backs.
Students will then introduce their sea turtle species given and compare the different turtle species sizes, etc.
Meet at Beach access #5 in Surf City at 9:00am. Classes are from 9:30am - 10:30am
