Volunteer Team Members work closely with fellow and other team members. Volunteer Team Members report to the Team Leader. Volunteer Team Members will be responsible for the care and husbandry of sick and injured sea turtles. Kitchen duties, i.e., wash and fold laundry, wash and dry dishes. Clean restrooms, kitchen, hallways, and other accessible areas. Answer phone and take accurate messages, i.e., name, date, message, and return telephone number. Responsibilities:

  Make salt water and utilize the pump system to distribute the water mixture to where it is needed in the facility.  Check and maintain salinity and temperature of the salt water. Maintain the filtering system as needed, and setup, operate, and remove temporary pumping systems.   Must develop a conceptual understanding of plumbing lines and able to operate plumbing valves.   Plumbing system requires depressurization for cleaning and maintenance activities.   Must be able to de-energize electrical equipment when needed.  Able to remove and replace aquarium filters and filter lids.   Able to use the garden hose or pressure washer to remove waste and debris.
